S bar F Scout Ranch Service Day 2008
Please join the Shawnee Lodge in preparing the S bar F Scout Ranch for another exciting summer! This project is open to all Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.
On June 7, 2008, your troop is invited to join the Camp Staff of camps Gamble and Famous Eagle in preparation for summer camp. Huck's Cove and dinner are included for all participating volunteers! For more details and an information packet, please see the Shawnee Lodge website here.
Vigil Honor Nominations
Vigil honor nominations for this year may be submitted at any time prior to November 14. You are encouraged to nominate qualifying Arrowmen. To be eligible, the brother being nominated must have served the OA for a minimum of two years since receiving the Brotherhood honor. If you know of any dedicated brother worthy of the Vigil honor, you may download the form here, and submit it before November 14, 2008.
Section C-5C Conclave 2008
The next Section C-5C Conclave will be held on September 26-28, 2008, and will be held at Camp Joy hosted by the Taleka Lodge. This event will surely be one of fun and fellowship, and numerous training sessions and activities will be held. Registration forms and additional information may be found here on the Shawnee Lodge website. Our lodge is limited to 200 Arrowmen, and no walk-ins will be allowed, so be sure to register early for this exciting event!
National Order of the Arrow Conferernce 2009
In 2009, the National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will be held from August 1-6 at Indiana University. This is a thrilling event and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the OA, meet brothers from lodges around the country, and see spectacular shows. Be on the lookout for a registration form on the Shawnee Lodge website, which should become available in August of 2008.
Webelos Induction/Crossover Ceremony Available!
Would you be interested in having a New Horizons OA ceremonial team perform at your Webelos Induction / Crossover Ceremony? If so, please download the request form, found on the Ceremonial Team page. Complete the form and fax or E-mail to Andy Oldham. This is a great opportunity you won't want to turn down!
Fall Reunion '07 Recap
The Fall Reunion was held at the S-F Scout Ranch the weekend of September 7-9, 2007. Despite the weather, the event was an awesome success. Special thanks at all of the Ceremonialists and Elangomats who helped make New Horizons have a very well done weekend.
Congrats to Ray Kreienkamp and Matt Nahlik for winning Lodge positions. Ray won 1st Vice Chief, while Matt won Corresponding Secretary.
In New Horizons, new officers were also elected. The new officers are: Ed Nahlik, Chapter Chief; Adam Bixler, Chapter 1st Vice Chief; Danny Batten, 2nd Vice Chief; and Philip Nahlik, Secretary. Congratulations to these new officers, and a special thanks to all of those who ran for an office.
